Happy February!!

Wow! Happy February to you all!! We had an eventful month!

We had the opportunity to kick off the month with our first event by volunteering at the Ebenezer Baptist Church on Saturday, February 4th from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We assisted with the Mega Giveaway Event where large truckloads of products, including furniture, air fryers, lawn mowers, diapers and heaters, will be distributed to individuals and families in need.

On February 8th, Selfless Hands Foundation had the amazing opportunity to attend the JA Inspire Seminar for the Junior Achievement of Oklahoma on the main campus of the University of Oklahoma. This was an interactive career exploration event for 2,200 8th grade students to increase their interest and awareness of careers within Oklahoma!

On February 9th, we were invited by the Oral Surgery Specialists of Oklahoma and Career Academies team at Oklahoma City Public Schools to attend Academic Advantage healthcare symposium at the Metro Tech Conference Center in Oklahoma City. The event was for high school students who want to receive insider knowledge about what it takes to get into an ideal college or medical school and how to have a successful career in healthcare. We had an amazing time sharing information about. our organization to over 240 students and even gained more interested volunteers.

THEEEN, we hosted our second Selfless Saturday of 2023!! Yay!!

On February 11th, we hosted TRIO Talent Search and Upward Bound students at OSU-OKC from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.`We had an amazing turnout of 45 students to join us as we assembled over 200 meal kits and hygiene kits for the homeless community and for individuals who are on their journey to recovery and sober living from substance use addiction. We are also proud of the students for continuing these efforts by hosting a drive on their campus to support our Blessing Box initiative.

Long Story Short, we had AN AMAZING MONTH!
