It's Been a Minute.... Our Bad!

We definitely want to take the first step (and paragraph) to say…. WE APOLOGIZE!

It has been a few months since we’ve last updated our blogs and it’s so much to catch up on!

What’s been going on with us??

Well, Selfless Saturdays has still been active and GREAT! Matter of fact, in June, we had the biggest turnout in a long time — 60 PEOPLE!!! We gathered together on the first Saturday of June for Wear Orange Weekend. Wear Orange is an annual weekend for community members to advocate against gun violence in America. In honor of this special weekend, we held a community beautification project.

We planted TWO more blessing boxes, cleaned our adopted street between N.E. 23rd and N.E. 36th Street and N. Prospect Avenue, and created 168 meals for our homeless community and others in need.

As of today, we have a total of THREE blessing boxes, located here:

  • N.E. 23rd and N. Everest Blvd (Glen Ellyn Park)

  • N.E. 33rd and N. Lottie Avenue (Under the Tree)

  • N.E. 23rd and N. Prospect Avenue (Near the Adopted Street by Selfless Hands Foundation sign)

What’s NEXT?

  • July 9th will be our next Selfless Saturday event from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

  • July 16th will be our Vibes & Supplies Event with Poetry&Chill Kids OKC and Spiked. A Coffee Concept

  • July 30th will be our Third Annual Back-to-School Bash at Ice Event Center & Grill.
